Temporary Tattoo is a series of books that provides children with engaging material in the form of a book with lots of activity and games with lots of activities, but alongside that, there also includes 4 sheets of over 100 temporary tattoos that are inside of a little pocket to round off the book.
With these projects, since I was already joining an existing series, I had to keep in mind the already existing style of other books while making it unique to the topic I'll be discussing so kids can recognize it's part of the same series but also make them interested on the new subject material.
In regards to the design the client wanted the tattoos to be the main focus of the attention as this will be the main attraction for the kids and what sets it apart from other such books. So after some back and forth, we settled on the white design so each tattoo gets to stand out while also making their colours pop.

Inside the book, there are multiple activities to keep children entertained from colouring in, i-spy, and mazes while also providing them with information on animals with stories, facts, and quizzes so we balance the fun and activities with the learning.
With animals, it was really fun to work with Patrick Corrigan since his illustrations fit perfectly with the fun cartoony style while also making sure each of the animals are recognizable with their distinct features.
Magical Kingdom follows the same formula as the previous books in the series with fun puzzles and activities as well quizzes and stories about various magical creatures in this world.
With Magical Kingdom, I had a lot more freedom with what illustrations I can use since they didn't apply to real life but that also presented its own challenges in making sure the images are recognizable to kids around the world.
